This is another study for the piece called "LIBERTY." This was created when I was trying to decide how to place Liberty's hand, and I felt it would mean more if she were holding on to the body instead of the way Michelangelo placed Mary's hand in his Pieta. This original sketch is 8.5 x 11". Yes it has ink splotches on it, and a bit of glue at the bottom--so you know you're getting a one of a kind!
